Chris Orf secured donated materials from the O'Fallon Home Depot and then he, his son Keegan and ORF Contracting sales manager, Dave Emert, donated their time to build a 30-foot curved wooden wheelchair ramp for St. Peters, Missouri resident Patricia Kay. Kay lost both legs and most of her fingers to diabetes. She had not been able to go out her front door for over a year, and had to be carried in and out of her house for dialysis treatment three times per week.
"My satisfaction came from seeing the look on her face," said Chris Orf. "It touched all of us. Now she can go outside whenever she wants."
ORF General Contracting sponsored Cody McManama's nitrous oxide-aided Pro Modified Chevrolet at the June 2002 NHRA Sears Craftsman Nationals at Gateway International Raceway in Madison, Illinois. Before the race, the car was displayed to the public at the ORF Contracting office. Children from a nearby day-care center were specially invited to see the car and meet the driver.
